CeraPhi Drilling Solutions geothermal company drill pipe

CeraPhi Drilling Solutions is born

NEWS CeraPhi Drilling Solutions is born 21  November 2023 CeraPhi Energy has launched its Drilling Solutions business, providing the perfect platform to install CeraPhiWell systems. The CeraPhi Drilling Solutions business plans to target deeper well drilling from around 500 metres to 2000 meters. The plan is to access better quality temperatures for next generation ambient loop heat networks. By increasing the recoverable temperature, it reduces the temperature differential. This increases the coefficient of performance of the system, reducing cost and increasing operational margins and system performance.CeraPhi Drilling Solutions Director Paul Fowler said: “This is a great opportunity to provide a scalable solution to maximise the abundance of thermal energy from the heat beneath our feet. The deeper we go, the hotter it gets and drilling to a higher quality heat provides significant benefits for the future of heat networks and the resilience of those systems we install. The interest from the MOD, developers on residential projects, individuals looking to decarbonise private estates, distilleries, football stadiums, schools and leisure centres has been incredible, we already have more than 5 projects in the pipeline which will be delivered within the next 6 months.” CEO of CeraPhi Energy Karl Farrow said: “It’s a natural go-to market strategy for the deployment of our CeraPhiWell solution. It will manage drilling risk and provide an integrated delivery solution taking the heat directly to our customer interconnections and offtakes. It will enable them to connect their heat pumps directly to a higher quality and more efficient source of energy”. CeraPhi has started drilling on projects within the UK. Over the coming months they will invest extensively in their capacity to install fully integrated heat network systems through their Drilling Solutions Business for the USA market within the first quarter of 2024. By the end of 2024, they hope to be providing fully integrated system networks to projects around Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York State. Announcement: Loss of our dear friend and colleague Glen Falco

ANNOUNCEMENT Loss of our dear friend and colleague Glen Falco   14  November 2023 Glynn Roy Falco (Glen) 08.09.1961 – 20.10.2023 It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce we have sadly lost one of our team. Glen Falco supported CeraPhi Energy since the journey began. He was one of our original shareholders and came on board as a valued member of our team to take up the role of HSEQ manager. Glen brought with him decades of experience in managing situations and procedures safely and he steered us through the vast amounts of paperwork to get us approved to ISO 9001/14001/45001 and to ensure we maintained these standards. He was one of the most vigilant HSEQ managers we’ve ever worked with. However he did this in a way that got everyone on board, he didn’t shout or moan, he encouraged and helped and used his calm approach to steer people into doing the right things. Glen believed with all of his heart in the CeraPhi mission and I am so pleased he managed to get to site to see all of our hard work come to fruition at the proof of concept demo project in Yorkshire. It was soon after this visit when he took ill and began the battle to fight off the cancer that had returned, which was sadly one fight too much for him. Glen was very much a family man and he leaves behind his beloved partner, Ness, his daughter Leah and his parents Ernie and Rose.  Glen had a personality, warmth and gentleness that touched everyone he met. He was a true gentleman. To lose him so suddenly after this last illness was a shock for all of us, but especially his family to whom our hearts go out unconditionally. He will be missed more than we can say, he will stay in our hearts and will always be part of the team. Bless you Glen Previous PostMaking all-year-round fruit, veg and tea commercially viableNext PostCeraPhi Drilling Solutions is born About CeraPhi®  CeraPhi is a vertically integrated Geothermal Development Company with proprietary technology and a mission to unlock the thermal heat underground to deliver sustainable, continuous, and totally green 24/7 baseload energy through a “plug and Play” sustainable technology platform.  To find out more and to explore investment opportunities with CeraPhi visit www.ceraphi.com For media inquiries and further information, please contact Holly Harvey-Perdicou holly.harvey-perdicou@ceraphi.com

Geothermal company Ceraphi paper presented at Geoconvention 2023 - Nahanni Butte, NWT – Right Sizing Geothermal Development

Geoconvention 2023 – Nahanni Butte, NWT – Right Sizing Geothermal Development

NEWS Geoconvention 2023 – Nahanni Butte, NWT – Right Sizing Geothermal Development 23 May 2022 CeraPhi’s Andy Wood credited in a technical paper presented in GeoConvention in Calgary. ‘Nahanni Butte is a small community of under 100 people in the south-west corner of Northwest Territories. Presently, the electricity needs of the community are powered by a diesel generator. The heat for the community is provided by oil fired furnaces, oil fired hydronic systems in larger buildings (c.f., Band office and gym), and combustion of wood in individual residences. To increase the community’s energy stability and reduce their carbon emissions, geothermal energy was evaluated for both heat and power generation. Conventional geothermal energy was evaluated for the community, however, the upfront capital cost on a per person for this small community made this solution un-fundable at this point in time. As an alternative, a deep, closed loop, borehole heat exchanger was evaluated for heat production. CeraPhi Energy’s proprietary closed loop CeraPhiWell™ (monobore) system was evaluated. The advantages of this system is it can be deployed in a single, small diameter borehole. Locally available diamond drill rigs running relatively inexpensive HQ drill bit (63.5 mm) sizes can be used. While this solution has better per person economics for the community, it would involve extensive retrofitting of existing heat infrastructure, due to the lower temperatures of the produced fluids than the existing hydronic systems. This limits the applicability of this technology within this community to new residential and commercial buildings, where the heating systems can be designed for the lower temperature fluids circulated by the district heating system. While this area of the NWT has good geothermal potential, the technology implemented needs to consider the community’s needs and future development plans in order to find the best application of renewal energy solutions whether it be geothermal technology, or hybrid systems such as waste heat recovery from existing diesel generation, thermal-solar and/or wind generation coupled with heat storage.’ To view the full poster click here. This expertise is brought to bear on the development, delivery, and operation of projects that maximise returns and benefits for all stakeholders involved. Through its commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology, CeraPhi Energy is a key player in the drive to create a more sustainable and eco-friendly energy landscape. About CeraPhiWell™ The CeraPhiWell™ technology represents a breakthrough in closed-loop geothermal well systems, utilising a specially selected fluid circulated down a closed-loop well via proprietary systems that act as a down-hole heat exchanger. Using proven oil and gas techniques and equipment to drill wells up to 5 kilometres deep, higher temperatures can be accessed and brought to the surface. The required heat output and the ground temperature gradient at the site determine the depth of the well. Once installed and operational, the CeraPhiWell™ system requires minimal maintenance and no further interventions. Notably, the system is fully sealed, with no interaction with below-ground aquifers or permeable formations – and poses no potential hazard for unwanted pollution. Unlike conventional geothermal projects, there is no need for fracking techniques, which significantly reduces the risk of seismic events. These features of the CeraPhiWell™ technology greatly reduce the risk profile for geothermal projects and increase confidence in their successful development and operation. Geothermal Closed Loop Technology Fluid is circulated through the system (blue) down to the heat exchanger (1) where temperatures at the bottom of the well results in the conduction of thermal energy (red), which is returned to the surface heat exchanger (2). The thermal energy, in a controlled combination of pressure and temperature, is then routed through the surface heat exchanger to another medium within the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) plant. This energy expands into the ORC turbine (3), internally turning the generator to produce electricity (4). The hot fluid is then directed to the coolers (5), condensing into a cooler state and returning to the surface heat exchanger (2), where the well circulation reheats it. Power is sent to the substation (6) for transmission to the end user. Advantages of Geothermal Closed-Loop Technology Geothermal closed-loop technology offers several significant environmental advantages over
